Bridgewater Street

SticX worked with architects and structural engineers to integrate the development for two upward extensions and two new builds for self-contained apartments across derelict buildings in Liverpool City Centre. The buildings which were previously situated at the location featured basements, meaning there was a lot of design work involved. The new build structures were not without complication, as Baltic Properties wanted to use timber frame due to the time and cost benefits, however the capability of timber frame was not enough for the size of the buildings and therefore alongside the architect we had to design and create a hybrid frame consisting of both steel and timber in order to produce a building which will meet the clients requests.
